Title: CDTV CDROM Drives

Hi all

I have looked on ebay and amibay for a working CDTV cdrom drive with no success. Is there anybody that can repair them or has one for sale my CDTV is sad :(

The last I heard the laser assembly from some early Phillips drives worked, but that is about all you will find. They did t sell many cdtv units as is and spares we're proprietary so even harder to come by.

Acill would know as he did a lot of research lately trying to find one of these for one of his cdtvs

while we are on topic does anyone have a black cd caddy they would part with?

Any idea what model philips drives. Ide type or some other type scsi ect ???

There is a thread over at a1k.org proposing to change the old caps to reanimate the CD controller board of the CDTV. With some success. It is not always the laser or lens it seems.
