Title: Vampire 2.9 Ethernet through Expansion port
Post by: Motormouth on April 21, 2018, 07:14:53 PM
Anyone tried the ethernet through the expansion port yet

http://wiki.apollo-accelerators.com/doku.php/expansionport

Did you get it to work?  How does it compare to ethernet through the microSD port ie SDnet.device?

How is the Speed?

Yes works well. Speed seemed decent for a few downloads but I didn’t measure it. More info at Apollo forum on setup.
Pedro cotter has a good setup video.

The MicroSD and SPI ports are alternative pinouts of the same thing and should yield identical performance.

Thanks both of you for your help.  It seems similar in speed to the a2065 in the A2000, but like David Wright, I haven't measured it yet.
