Title: CF card size
Post by: Xanaa on February 24, 2018, 04:38:06 AM
Hi,
My scuzzy hard drive on my 2000 is going south so I bought this from Amigakit
SCSI to Micro SD Interface Adapter
https://amigakit.amiga.store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1264.
Question is what is the max size card I can use in this and what would you think I should get ? I'm thinking a 4 gig would work.
Can I still use CD player up up with this? It is on the end of the scuzzy cable

4GB is the "easy" limit. To use more you'd need Workbench 3.5 or 3.9, or PFS / SFS, or one of the many other ways to add large drive support.

ProTip: keep your SYS: partition at the very beginning and under 500MB or so for best compatibility with older software. Good luck, have fun! :)

So did you get it working? I need a way to move files between my PC and Amiga other then email.
I have a Mechware scsi memory card reader but it doesn't want to work yet.

Why not get a CDr drive in your Amiga, CD-R media is cheap and can be rewritten on more than once. I use that to transfer files from pc and it works great.
