Hi.
I have an Amiga600 with kickrom 2 version 37.350, and I am looking for antivirus software that can scan and disinfect any possible infections on disks and harddrive.
So far I have found something called VT-Schutz or Schutz, in a bootable floppy version. Though it seems a bit difficult to use, and is in german. So I have really no clue on how this works 100%.
Is there any other suites or programs that can scan and disinfect my Amiga600?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure I've ever been concerned about viruses on the Amiga, but a search yielded this informative page:

Thanks...
I will give them a go. :-) I have been digging around and found a site, that has a program called "Master Virus Killer Version3". Before I download and see if that program is any good. What are peoples thoughts on that program?

Dumb question but I'm surprised no one has asked it yet -- what makes you think you have a virus infection that needs cleaning?
-
It's dead old -1993. The programs we mentioned have virus definitions upto 2004.
-
Yeah, I know it is old. Though I am not going to use it for anything else than pre 1992 software. And the Amiga is not connected to internet.

I need to test disks that are rewritten from ADF files.
I think there might be old virusses on a couple of them old games.

Why don't you make a WinUAE config with hardrive and test the disks there?

Sweet.... :) I did not think of that.
Though I will be using FS-Uae on Linux instead.
(suits me better)

Much better indeed.
See Virus Z.

I did look into it, and downloaded all the extra files/librearies from Aminet. One of the LHA files would not extract, and was corrupted. Or so does my Linux computer tell me. So I have not been able to unpack it correctly, before transferring the files, using an CF-PCMCIA adaptor.
I would really like to test it out, though with a required file, that are corrupt I can not do anything more.

Thanks... Is that the complete installer? It is 1am here, so I will be checking it out tomorrow.

I found it in my backup directory, I think it is as I installed long time ago.

That is what I thought, but I recently found "Happy new Year 96" virus all over my minimig 1.1. It was infecting executables in my startup so it was resident at boot.
I figured my A1200 would have been inundated with the same virus, but I only found it in some backup LZH files that I had created on the Minimig and I had never extracted.
It was fairly easy to remove with VirusZ, however when the virus was removed some of the EXEs were corrupted and caused a GURU, so I ended up redoing my ClassicWB install.
You don't know if you don't look :)

Tried the software you posted a link for. The installer reports that it can not find "C:INSTALLER". Could this be because I am running stock WB-2.10 without any updates?

Check if your sys:c/ directory has the installer in.
If not get it from another Workbench.
