Title: getting back to my poor a1200

hi, my a1200 has been in storage for a couple years.
i have keyboard issues. now looks like it developed mouse issues.

my current setup is an
a1200 pal
4gb flash
usb floppy emulator
indivision mk2
Blizzard 1220/4

i ordered the customer 3.9 roms, a new amiga mouse.  and the SUM USB Keyboard Adapter For A1200.

how can i troubleshoot the keyboard and mouse before that stuff arrives?
the keyboard, looks like the tab key is the only thing that works
and mouse does nothing. just a pointer

Clean & reseat the keyboard lead?

Try with a different mouse?  Clean & inspect the connector?

You're probably going to want to get it recapped, search for Acill on this forum to find his repair thread.  :)

hi, the board was recapped before i purchased the system, its good for the aca accelerators already.
i reseated the cable a couple times. i ordered a new keyboard 2 years ago. which came doa, at least thats what i thought.
i might have to clean the ribbon connector for the keyboard and test .

well, update. i have it running, i now have a usb keyboard and a new mouse.  and i now have inputs.
