You do realize you get those DOM's at reasonable prices at AliExpress?

What's the difference between "1 channel" and "2 channels" on these DOMs?

Ah, OK clear, So if I want to be able to switch between master and slave I need a 2 channel DOM.

Not exactly clear how two channel drives work. But my guess is that two channel DOMs are divided in two. lets say 2X2 GB... Master and slave.
I would stick with one channel drives....
And my experience is that the DOMs do not enjoy sharing a channel on the ide bus. I only have single channel DOM, but making them (the two i have tried) to work with other IDE equipment in the same channel is difficult.

thanks so much for the link as I can't find DOMs locally here and I'm so bloody tired of CF cards going bad on me in my miggies

Are they more reliable or faster than cf? Looks like they wont fit in a standard 600 or 1200?

honestly anything is more reliable than a CF card as HD in a miggy:hammer: the ones in the link I quoted above will fit the IDE slot directly..no cable needed!

If i am not completely mistaken. they are based upon the same technology.
It is still flash.....

However... DOM's are made to be more rugged and are aimed at industrial applications.
However 2.... I have no clue how good China (copys) are.... must be tested to confirm any results....

It fits many ppl used this exact same module. For me, for that price you should go CF they are dirt cheap. For those that dont trust cf a real 2.5 in drive is dirt cheap and fast.

and the worst reliability:( ...in the past 2 years I've had one in both my A1200 & A4000 go bad so & I did back up majority of stuff but still big PITA so no more 'cheap' or expensive CF cards for me in my miggies as main boot drives:uzi:
