Title: Prisma Megamix issues
Post by: AltRN8 on December 30, 2017, 05:03:26 PM
I’m trying to track down a software conflict with a Prisma megamix card. I know the card works as i have verified it with a slimmed down OS boot. It is definitely a software conflict. In snoopdos I see the error:

[3] prismaplay FindPort PrismaPlay Fail

I’ve tried commenting out various software bits on startup but nothing seems to work. Anyone else experience anything similar?

What other software do you have running?

What other boards do you have installed?

Remove everything from User-Startup and WBStartup?

I will make the laundry list and post it.  I need to re test everything cause I can not find my notes.  I think I tracked it down to rom update making it go squirrelly but I will have to check.

Here's the notable specs of the machine. While troubleshooting I've removed everything else and had only the Megamix installed and then worked back into adding the hardware so I am pretty sure it is a software conflict.

Hardware:
A4000D in a Power tower enclosure
Mediator PCI 4000D 3V MK-III
SoundBlaster 128
Voodoo 3
Spider II USB
Indivision MK2
ZorRAM 128 MB

Software:
Amiga OS 3.9
Boing Bag 1,2 3 & 4 installed

Let me know if there is anything else relevant worth sharing. I'd be happy for tips on how to track down such a conflict in general.
