I feel like a slacker for not having had time to try mine out. Awesome bit of kit.

I've since sold mine. It was fun at first, but the frustration of it crashing and having to reflash it all the time took away from the enjoyment of it.

It almost sounds like my AmigaOS4.1 on BlizzardPPC = constant issues.
It is ALREADY sold. That was fast!

That's not good, either it was broken or something is wrong with other components or software.
So you sold somebody a broken card !?
My Vampire is rock solid and runs great as it should for over a year.

I have 3 Vampires and they have run great and I put them through the ringer with almost always on activity. I don't plan on selling them anytime soon. I did break a pin on one but that was my fault and Kipper2k was good enough to fix it for me. He even sold me a TF328 also along with some A500 bits and bobs.

@ PPC
I use test cores and the boards will crash using a test core, that is expected as the beta test cores are by design unstable. As core dev progresses they become more stable and stop crashing.
If I want to go back to a 100% useable core I flash gold 2 or 2.5 they run stable. I have never had to re-flash a public released core on my boards due to instability. I have had to press down on my A600 Vampire to reseat it after the wife knocked over the A600 setup.

Ditto
I have had mine for 5 months, in an A2000. It has also been rock solid.
It probably helped that the first version of the rom was 2.0, then 2.5.

Same here! Though I did have to reflash it once, but might have been due to an operator error. lol
