Is it possible to boot a CF card with WB1.3 installed from the `Boot Card' slot?
So far, I have tried formatting a 4GB CF card into two partitions (DH0,DH1) and copied WB 1.3 to DH0. I formatted in WB3.1 on WUAE using the FFS in HDToolBox.
When the ACA 500+ menu appears at power-on I go into the F2 setting (which is ACA 500+ 1.3, I believe). The card is not read and there is simply a white screen.
So far, the only way I have made it work is to use a FAT formatted CF card and place it in the AUX slot: this way it boots up. Is this the only way?
Thank you.

From the Boot slot and from the Aucx slot. It was Amiga formattet.

It is not the same problem like you, but is it possible what you ask? That is a good question.

Did you have an accelerator fitted? 3.9 requires at minimum a 68020. AFAIK cpu on a stock ACA is just a fast 68000.

okay. so I actually got this working using a sandisk 30mb cf card. I used wuae to format the single partition using ffs and just threw wb 1.3 files over and it works from boot using the aca500+ f2 option. I will next try a 4gb card with a small boot partition for 1.3 and another big partition for other stuff and see how it goes.
at this point I am unsure if the brand of cf makes a difference.
I would really not expect any issues with 3.1 and above and the 3.1 ks so I would guess it is something you have incorrectly configured or that the dreaded cf named brand issue has come surface.
