Hello, does anyone know when the Commodore A1200 Reloaded from Individual Computers will be released? Will it be near christmas or next year? Thanks.
-
"Two more weeks".
-
When it's Done.

Soon.

Somewhere it did say: "After Individual Computers finished the first prototype, they will take binding orders to find out the actual demand of the Amiga Reloaded. After this order phase is over, production will start and the boards will be delivered about 18-20 weeks after the initial order phase."

How about Clone-A?
My guess is not for a very very long time.

Come on guys.

Nah, I think most of us are in good humor about this. Now, where the heck is my C64 Reloaded??
-
Probably not if the vampire standalone gets released soon
-
I wonder if Jens missed his window of opportunity here. Not just the Vampire but other ventures filling the Amiga scene with new options.

That happens pretty frequently.
Step 1. Product announced
Step 2. Great anticipation
Step 3. Wait
Step 4. Wait some more
Step 5. People's interests change, life moves on, other products fill the niche
Step 6. Product finally released, to thunderous yawns.

Yes I think Jens missed the window, he did however produce a lot of new accelerator options.

He also still has all those NOS AGA chips hoarded up... :(
-
He does make good products, glad he does what he does.
On that note, i just destroyed his Aca 500+ in my Amiga 1000
He recommends not to do, and I put it in backwards or upside down. One is good and one is bad, not sure in my haste after reinserting.
Don’t feel too good about myself right now.

Jens announced today that he cannot announce anything now, since a couple of features are patent pending or something.

If it's patent pending then there should be no problem talking about it, it would only cause him a problem if he talked about something before filing the patent.
He might be worried about the patent being rejected, I wonder what he would do in that case. The patent is only of value if someone wants to copy the idea, and he has all the left over chips. So I'm not sure what value he sees in going through a patent application.
Of course if it's a patent for something other than hooking up old AGA chips to modern RAM, then it might have some value elsewhere. But he could still talk about the other parts.

Oooh, that sucks. :(
Outside the potential of accidentally plugging the board in wrong, are there any other reasons why he recommends not using the ACA500 with the A1000?

Something about timing signals. For most, that is why you may have to turn off/on a few times to get it to boot.

Do you have a direct link to this statement?
If so, would you be so kind as to provide it?
