Hi folks,
It has been a very long time since I posted.
I generally prefer to read the forums and solve problems without being a bother, however i have been trying something out recently and wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same issue.
In the last few days i have begun attempting to build my own custom kick roms.
For the moment I am using blizkick to test the results on my A1200 with Blizzard 030 Mk IV.
My main interest was to incorporate HRTMon and an updated scsi.device into the new ROM.
Both of these work, but I have noticed that HRTmon won't see WHDLoad and therefore the WHDLoad commands don't work.
I am wondering if anyone else who has it in a ROM is experiencing this problem.
It worked run from Workbench, but once in the ROM, no go for WHDLoad.
BTW, I have built a Level 7 Interrupt button, so no issues with invoking HRTmon either way.
I got the Amiga bug back when I moved house about 6 months ago and pulled them all out of storage. I have done all sorts of cool stuff, thanks to the hard work of many people in this forum and others. I am blown away by the movements on the scene since I have been back into it.
Amiga will always be my fave :-)
I will try and post a general sum-up of my experiences and the things I've been up to in the near future, somewhere in this forum and thank the appropriate people for everything as I explain it all.
Cheers all

So I thought I would try another approach and burn it to ROM's.
The ROM's booted fine, and I turned off MAPROM on the Blizzard, but it didn't help.
Still no WHDLoad commands working.
Other than that HRTMon runs perfectly well as far as I can tell, but I like the WHDLoad commands, so I am gonna go back to running it from workbench for now.
Will experiment more with other things in a custom ROM soon though.
The scsi.device in ROM already saved a reset, so it's definitely worth it.
Cheers folks!

er, wouldn't it be easier to try it in (win)uae?

I am actually building the ROM's in WinUAE, but since I wanna run em on a real amiga, I considered that the final testing ground I suppose.
I did use WinUAE for the initial testing, but I haven't seen if it worked with WHDLoad commands while in HRTMon. I actually discovered the problem on the A1200 because that's where I play games. I must have a try in WinUAE and see what it does.
Thanks for the suggestion :-)
I really only recently installed WinUAE as a way to setup the systems for my A1200's and transfer files faster.
So...I just tested and it didn't work in WinUAE either. :-)
Was a nice idea, oh well :-)
