Is it possible to change battery on the Blizzard 1230IV accelerator board?
Is there any battery on the A1200 motherboard that needs any attention, like on the A2000? If there is, where on the motherboard is it located and how do I change it?

Nope, no batteries on the A1200 mobo. And for changing the battery on the Bliz...well...snap it off and solder an identical one in its place :).

Thanks for your reply!
It is a chargable battery in the Bliz 1230IV. But it seems like it has stopped to charge.
Does the board work properly without the battery? Where do I snap it? The whole metal-arm that holds the battery?

I'm 99 percent sure it will still work fine without the battery although it obviously will not keep track of the right time anymore ;-). However I'm not familiar with the physical appearance of your Bliz, so better wait for a reply by someone who has one too.

Thanks!
I read the manual to my Blizzard card yesterday, and there was not much about the battery. I said though that, if the computer was turned off, for more than six weeks, the battery would not hold the savings anymore. And it also said that you have to have the computer on for at least four hours, and then at least two hours per day for a week, for the battery to charge completely.
So I tried to have my A1200 on the whole night and then I turned it off. When I booted up again the date and time was still there.
Amazing that the battery still seems to be working. I bought the Blizzard 1994 or 1995 I think. That's 10 years of operating. Amazing.... :-)
