Wow... little bit of a steep prize for a derringer.

Do you think? I thought it was a reasonable price for the Derringer, which (for me) is the best internal classic turbocard for the A500/1000

I paid $200 for mine in 2007, including shipping. and it is the original 50mhz version from CSA. even still got the sticker on it. It did include 8mb ram.
I have upgraded it to 32mb ram and added a fpu.
I will modify it with 128mb upgrade.
If id consider selling it. id put it on ebay for $350....
Maybe im a bit off on the prizing..... i dont know.
But im using it a lot, and im not selling it ;)

Yeah, I have a 50MHz Derringer I bought in 2005 in the $200 to $300 range, though I don't remember exactly. I can see this price having stiff competition with alternative products, but, of course, a product is worth what someone will pay for it. There's also the nostalgia angle ;)

Yea... very much so...
With the vampire walking in, prizing is going to get a pretty stiff competition.

That is a whole other story :D
I'm glad i got my Derringer when i did. I've had lots of fun with it.

His prices are always crazy high.

Might be...
But the prizing on the Apollo boards, the ram cards and the other parts in his auction seems fair. My hair on my neck aint rising.
I only react to the Derrigner. That seemed an unfair prizing.

Especially the ones starting at EUR 1,-. Creazy ;-) (sorry for the sarcasm)
Some of the auctions are ending tomorrow.
Concerning the prices, I try to offer them at fair prices (for buyer and seller). I sell the Derringer, because I got one with the original box, manuals etc. and I paid way more than the price I ask on ebay. The US-dollar seems to be quite weak against the Euro, so maybe the prices seem to go steep.
If you paid USD 250,- for an Amiga-item 10 years ago, USD 500,- is not a bad price for it today (for most amiga items prices rose even higher). Anyway, you can always make me an offer, if you think prices are to high.

Not wanting to make any offers just yet. I was just browsing through, looking at options. i do enjoy the derringer. it just need network and ide and it would be the perfect accelerator for A500.
But i nearly choked on my soda when i read the asking prize for your derringer (just over 4000NOK). My derringer was around 15- 1600NOK range when i bought it....

When did you buy your Derringer? Unfortunately prices in the classic-Amiga branch know only one direction? I collect Amiga hardware and sometimes it is mad what people are willing to pay. While this is a nice effect when I sell some of my doublettes, this is not very nice when I try to get something I do not have in my collection (but which I want). Just look at the auction for the A1000 prototype which went for more than 17000 euros (no I did not type a 0 to much).

Yes, back then I bought an A3000D for EUR 50,- (on Ebay). Try to get it today and you will pay ten times as much.

Yea... demand VS supply :D
I wonder what my collection (in the sign) is worth.... :D

Well, I think you could get some money for it. But you have always to remember, if you want to get something of it back in a few years, you will pay the double or more. Thats why I only sell doublettes of my Amiga items.
