Anyone else find Google news alerts handy?

Just for the sheer hell of it, I have an alert set up that Emails me any news that contains anyone in a list of people I know. (I don't know why, was just screwing around)

Well, today I recieved an alert, checked it out and it turns out my lawyer is in court for allegedly assaulting one of his clients!!  :-o

Turned out to be nothing though, charge was dropped. The man he was representing was a jerk.

What a cool feature though. Google owns.
