i am not able to load "ED" , gives error 111 or "not enough storage".When starting from floppy i have 306312 bytes free. When booting from HD i have over 2000000 bytes free. Any solutions ?

How big is the file you're trying to open? AFAIR it does have a limit on how big a file it can open.
If you boot without Startup-Sequence and just type "ed s:Startup-Sequence" does it give the same error?
What version of Workbench?

the file is "startup-sequence"
Yes , same error.
Version is 1.3

Error code 111 does not exist, do you probably see 103? My best guess is that the binary of "ed" has been damaged, so you should try to replace this from the original disk. This being said, there are editors that are much better than "Ed".

no , it says clearly "111"

+1 for replacing the binary.

Are you sure it really is Ed, and not some substitute, such as the one that comes with CygnusEd?

I presume it was installed with the 1.3 workbench disks? In this case it is the original one , not ?

Check the version info.
