a question... is Amiga 3000 tower power supply the same of desktop version?

You can use an ATX power supply. The connector is the same but the pinouts are different. AmigaManiac used to make an adapter that plugged into the ATX supply but he hasn't been around for a few year so now you have to make your own or cut the connector off the ATX and wire a new connector with the proper pins.
