Hi all,
Thank you to everyone on here for their great contributions.
I'd like to ask some people on here about the on/off switch that is on the power supply of an Amiga 4000. I remember about a year ago I looked one up on the internet and found that you could purchase a replacement switch that connects to the PSU. However, I have recently looked this up today and have not located any of these for sale yet.
Just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction please?

You might want to specify if you need just the switch, or the rod too. A number of places (Amigakit included) sell replacement switches as part of their ATX power supply conversion kits.

Given that the guy obviously has a 3D copying machine / printer or what ever they are called I am surprised he's not selling replacement Amiga cases for say the 600 and 1200. Or maybe there is a size limit. Don't really understand how they work.
On that 4000d .. amazing how many times the action of me simply plugging in the tea-kettle switches the 4000 on. Kinda crude I have to say. My one 4000d takes about three or four goes to switch off. Switches straight on, but off.. more tricky.
Wonder if he could copy clip for the cable holder on my 128d plastic. Or maybe he could copy the whole case. Those cases had the annoying cable holders on the back and one of mine has busted off. They didn't have them on the 128d metal. The plastic has the handle and the keyboard clipped in underneath like the 1000.

Most consumer-level 3D printers have a size limit. Don't feel too bad, my gf doesn't understand them, either. I've tried explaining it! :lol:

Hummm - as you're just at it - I've been asking myself for a while what it might take to operate 3D scanners and printers with an Amiga - be it classic, or NG.
Drivers, of course. But what else?
3D scanning Software?
Something like TurboPrint - just for 3D printers?
What else would be needed?
Could the XENA/XORRO stuff on the A1 X1k/X5k be of help to support 3D scanning & printing in one way or another?
What do you think?

The A600 cases etc are much too large for 3D printing with any type of SOHO 3D printer, you need industrial printers for such projects, and even then it will be quite quite brittle and fragile, unless you use techniques that are quite expensive. Hence such 3D prints are mostly used for prototyping, not for end-products.

They are available on eBay from Chinese sellers, if you don't mind: 1) Buying 10 at a time, and 2) The 4 week wait
