Title: Gotek floppy emulator
Post by: TheMagicM on March 17, 2017, 02:22:41 AM
I bought a Gotek floppy emulator from AmigaKit.   Just the Gotek, not the USB.  I have a 16GB USB stick, copied some ADF's to it.  I unplugged df0: and replaced it with the Gotek.   I do not see a selector screen pop up for my ADF's.  Am I missing something?

EDIT:
nevermind.. I think I need to copy selector.adf to it..

EDIT 2:  Nope..still no boot selector with selector.adf copied to it.

I think you need a selector.adf (or something like that) file on the USB if I remember correctly.
pick disk 000.
Boot your amiga with df0:
A menu should then come up.

From the menu you can assign different adf files to different disk numbers 001-999

It says 000 on it, but doesnt boot to anything.  Just sits at insert 1.3 bootpic.

I know this is a probably an obvious question, but did you put the floppy ribbon cable on the correct way?  Did any of the jumpers on the Gotek get moved?

Figured it out.. It was on S1, instead of S0.  All is well!

Thanks for the replies!

In at least one of my amiga's, can't remember which, pin one in the Gotek was opposite size of the native drive.

This is a bad ass piece of hardware.  No need for floppy disks (yet).
