I have a 2MB FAST 512K CHIP Amiga 1000 and want to play some .anim files on it. What is a player that will work on this machine?
Thanks.

Does ViewTek support 1.3? If not, I'd suggest the one that comes with DPaint III and up. Also check gfx/show on Aminet sorted by date and perhaps some old Fish Disk indices if you're not finding anything.

It seems to me it does, me and a friend were doing animation tests and using that one to display

I vaguely remember using Showanim on my CDTV. It's been over 20 years though, don't remember how well it worked.

I used to watch rendered anims on my 1.3 A2000 all the time.
I remember showanim. Any idea where I can find it? Aminet seems not to have it. Thanks.

I suppose it's this: http://aminet.net/gfx/conv/anim.lha

I don't think I had Internet access when I bought the CDTV. I probably got Showanim off a Fred Fish CD or a local BBS. I seem to remember it came with a demo anim called Humancar. It's probably bundled with some of the older ANIM files on Aminet.

Don't know if this is the version I had, as I'm not near my Amigas:

That's newer than what I wrote, 5.40 vs. 4.30.

Always nice to have options, isn't it? ;)
