There were some Blizzard PPC cards that had a connector for an optional addon SCSI controler module...Did it ever came out?
-
never heard about this...
my card has scsi onboard.
-
Well, I been told that...myabe the person is mistaken.

I think the original plan was to make SCSI an add-on. In production, however, it's only possible to get SCSI if factory installed. It might be possible to add it manually if you have all the components and excellent soldering skills :-)

As crazy as it might seem I have a friend that would try it for free...
Does anyone knows if it's possible? And if the components are easy to get?
If someone gives me a list of the components and how to do it I wouldn't mind buying the card and trying but you must be 99% sure that it will work... 8-)

That I'm not. Maybe someone else knows more?

Your friend would have to be able to do SMD soldering...
The non scsi BPPC cards miss the scsi controller chip, which has to be surface mounted, aswell as the actually scsi connector and im sure theres more logic parts missing.
Personally Id say its not possible without access to an SMD machine, and then it would still be tricky.

@Ryu
He took electronics in Uni but the rest I don't know. I don't think he has access to such a machine.
If it's that tricky I'm not gonna risk myself losing the card...
