He is indeed a great inspiration, I wonder what he might draw today if he had an AGA machine close by.

I think Jim Sachs is one of the most creative and talented people I've ever seen. He is an amazing artist and a pioneer in computer graphics.

I used to teach Art History (as well as Computer Science) and I showed a colleague of mine some of Jim's work and she was stunned. His use of contrast in his images is amazing. They aren't just pretty pictures, there is real depth in them.  Just incredible.

I have often wished he had been apart of the early Amiga days when they needed graphic artists desperately. Jim would have been a great counterpoint to Apple's Susan Kare. Think how much better those hideous icons of 1.0/1.1 could have been...not to mention the Kickstart/Workbench hand images.

He really showed people that computer graphics could be more than just game images.

I love his defender of the crown art, and, if the 20000 league under the seas ever was produced, that would have been awesome.

He is busy building his dream home (I saw some AGA machines though ;)
so I doubt he has much time for other things

Jim's Amiga Lagoon was done in Brilliance with 256 colors, so AGA.

Still use his aquarium screensaver.

Awesome artist, I listened it's interview and he was quiet "sad" that nobody ask him to give a talk during the 30th Amiga anniversary in California.
I'd love a pixel art book course done by himself, I'm sure he'll make a lot of money selling it and it's craft will not be lost.

Aww.  :(  I saw him there.  He was playing Defender of the Crown on a CD32.  Didn't even realize it was him, at first!  ;)
