Title: 1mb kickstart, soft kick to fast ram
Post by: utri007 on October 14, 2016, 07:33:42 AM
I have 1mb kickstarts in my A1200 computers.

The one wich has a Apollo 68040 accelerator uses RemApollo to soft kick kickstart to fast ram. Problem is with A1200 computer wich has a Blizzard 68060 accelerator. Blizkick doesn't work with 1mb kickstart.

Currently I use CPU FASTROM wich works but is not optimal. Is there better solutions?

You can use Rom2Fast into the 68060.library archive : but only the first 512 KB will be moved into fastram...

The V45 version does not support 1MB kickstarts because 512K is the upper limit of regular kickstarts anyhow. Only the CD32 had a 1MB kickstart. There is a V46 version (along with a V46 mmu.library and a V46 version of all the tools) that *should* support CD32 Kickstarts along with other extensions, and hence *might* support custom build 1MB kickstarts. Remember, I don't have a CD32 machine, so I cannot test this feature. To get access to the beta please drop me a mail - all I would expect in return is a test result whether it works as expected.
