 Hmm, first listings we've seen for X5000 systems.
 I hope the pricing is correct.

When do you expect to actually start shipping the X5000? Will ordering from you, will it be available sooner than from signing up on the X5000 interest page that became available a couple of weeks ago?
Title: Re: Amiga On The Lake
Post by: apsturk on October 09, 2016, 03:15:35 AM
@Sparky

It's is priced almost $1000 less expensive than the X1000. With some free stuff not included with the X1000. When the A1222 is out it will be at a much lower price. That may fit you budget better.

@Pgovotsos
we are taking orders now. we just need a few days to put the free network card with it before we ship the motherboard or system ( the system a little longer as we have to build and test before shipping).
You should be getting an email about our store from A-eon in response to your signing up for the pre order. We just opened up faster than the response from them :)

Hope you like the store will will be adding new items and information in the coming weeks.

Any plans to stock classic hardware/software, or are you primarily focusing on NG stuff?
Title: Re: Amiga On The Lake
Post by: apsturk on October 10, 2016, 05:27:24 PM
@Oldsmobile_Mike

We are mainly  AmigaNG however we are adding some more classic stuff. Some in the next day or two. In the next month give or take a week we are adding a number of other classic items to the stock we carry.

This all sounds great. Will you also be providing technical support and service as well or retail only? It's great having a domestic retail source but it wouldn't be as great if service required paying international shipping two ways :)

Does the X5000 not use 240 pin DDR3 DIMMS ?
The images  of the DDR 3 on the Amiga on the Lake website look more like 204 pin SODIMMS.,

Anyone order an X5000? The systems on the store do not say pre-order. Does that mean they're available immediately? I left an email but nobody got back to me.

The A1222 should make a good low cost entry into Amiga NG. I can't wait to get one and build up a system and see it run along side our X5000s.
