I used to know all this but Ive since deleted the list I had... so here goes:
What are the best settings for Quake2 to get the best speed out of it for a BPPC/Bvision user? My settings got scrweded and now I seem to get an FPS of around 10-20fps... im sure I used to get 30+

*bump*
and heres me thinking some people might actually know a thing or 2 about this topic so they could reply to it...

You got me! Surprisingly a web search pulls up NOTHING! That's a shame! I'm just getting around to playing with it myself on a classic box and wouldn't mind some tweaking advise for CSPPC-Prommy-Voodoo3!

Afraid not i only have the budget pc version .

i get 27 fps on my config thats the highest i have heard .
040 bppc with bvision in 640x480 normally is around 10 to 12 fps.
anyway here goes: (also explainined in the docs)
first of all NO AHI (use paula)
Cdda will also slow things down considerably.
optimizations:
GlMintriArea : Set to Lowst value (1)
GlKeepTjunctions: Activate
GlSkipParticles: 4
GlDrawPaticles: 2
GlSmoothModels: Activate
GlFlashBlend: 2
GlVertexArrays: Activate
GlexMultitexture: 2
---
GlSubDivideSize: Set to Lowst Value (1)
Rlerpmodels: Activate
GlDynamic: Activate
GlGuardBand: Activate
GlParticleSize: Set to Lowest Value (1)
RVertexLightning: Activate
GlPointSize: Set To Lowst value (2.25)
GlMtexSort: 2
Glmaxparticles: Set To lowst Value (1)
Theese are the settings i found to best looking and gave best speeds anyway, i am sure you could tweak it to death even more but it would then also look like crap :-)
anyway 27fps on this , another user with 060 and 200mhz ppc reported 21fps with same settings. (but he is on Fastata IDE controller whilst i am on scsi)
cheerios
