Title: Quickpak 68060 in desktop A4000
Post by: MaDDuck on February 29, 2004, 08:36:23 PM
Well....
Can it be done?

I realize that the A4000 desktop case is a snug fit, but it's stil (a bit) better than the A3000.

I see those pop up from time to time, so they seem a bit easier to source than most (ANY!) othe processor card for the A4000 series.

Sorry pal, but that won`t fit. You either would have to saw the part with the RAM-socket off of the quickpack or you have to remove the Zorro-daughterboard of your A4000.
have a look at the picture.

What makes you say that those card are easy to find. Here in germany I haven`t seen even one of those and I had quite a lot of Amiga-Hardware in my hands this far.

Have you seen an A3K inside? It´s way bigger there than an A4K. :smack:

REALLY?????
I stand corrected!
It was just a thought, I was hoping for some way, short of surgery to squeze one in!

Thanks, man!
I was worried about orientation in the case, I couldn't tell exactly how it would mount.

....damnit....
