This guy again? Taking his trolling to a whole 'nuther level.
-
This not trolling. I announced a fact.
The purchasing of the old 68020 and 68030 turbocards bad idea, because the newer (but not 1233n) ACA 020, 030 cards are better, faster, cheaper.
Example Blizzard 1230 MK4 200-230 euro, made in 1994, speed = ACA1232 40 MHz 150 euro, made in 2012.
68882 FPU unnecessary.
The old 020, 030 cards (Blizzard, etc.) should be cheaper, than the new 020, 030 cards (ACA).
Why not this situation?
But the new ACA1233n 40 MHz 240 euro. Why? Dhrystone 9200 only, 128 MB. Brutal expensive.
https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/produkt-details/aca1232_1220_cpu/68030.40+/product/ACA12xx.html#filter=*
Normal 1233 40 MHz was 300 euro in 2014, dhrystone 9045.
http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/ACA1232
1232 40 MHz was 185 euro, with EC CPU was 160 euro, dhrystone 9045.
The old Blizzard 1260 (128 MB) 50-80 MHz 600-650 euro only, 50 MHz dhrystone 37000, 72 Mhz 53500, 80 MHz 59000.
650/240=2,7, 59000/9200=6,4!!!
80 MHz 650 euro: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?85252-Blizzard-1260-060-80MHz-128MB-RAM
MC68060RC60 rev6, oscillator is socketed, 128MB RAM. New accumulator, 75MHz and 50MHz oscillators.
The price/dhrystone better, than 030.
Apollo 4060 100 MHz 75526 http://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?p=412295

The best ACA1232/40, or B1260/80.

Yes, my GVP is a bit expansive : so, new price, 125 euro + shipping...
:)

I was gonna say, you should raise the price, just like this guy does, when his stuff doesn't sell the first time. ;)

@Blizzard 128 MB
You announce a fact that SysInfo gives incorrect low performance readings when it comes to the 68060. Erm, well done! Yet more lies spread about the 68060 performance by mis-informed 'Amiga experts' who are so expert that they do not even know this. Most 68060 card owners don't even know...it's embarrasing. Regarding your dhrystone readings for the 68060 - you're not even close.

The comparing between ACA 1232@40 MHz is a bit slower than a Blizzard 1230 IV with 60ns memory. 9.84 vs 10.01 Mips with Sysinfo 4.0
I have both these cards. The ACA 1232@40 MHz is faster than a GVP 1230@40 MHz and GVP1230@50MHz. I also own these cards. :)
The GVP 1230 Jaws I is a good accelerator card to play some WHDLoad games and 3D Shooters. Okay not at Full screen, but playable.
Cosmos' card also fitted a FPU and with some of the cards of ACA can fit a FPU, but it voids warranty if you fit one.
FPU can speed up with unpacking LHA files, 3D rendering and image processing.
I think this card is better value than an ACA card.

Yep, Jens cards rock! :elvis:
