Title: 68040 A1200 Games problems

Hi,
I have added an Apollo 1240 card to my A1200.
And then tried same old games.
Wing commander works fine, but the rest...
Are there any solutions for this, patches etc..?

Have you tried using WHDLoad? (http://www.whdload.de/)

You download the main package and then you can download individual HD installers for tons of old games, and they often apply patches to get the games working okay on faster hardware like your '040.

I have, but i only get a error message when trying to install it? I use workbench 3,1

It says: Unable to open your tool ìnstaller`

You need to put the installer program in your C: directory...it's in the Install Workbench disk.

The Installer from 3.1 is a bit outdated and a lot of WHDLoad installs use features present only in newer versions of Installer. If the version on your 3.1 disks doesn't work, I think there's a newer one on Aminet.

I had to update my installer. Found one on Aminet. :-)
