I just installed Rattes switcher in my A4000T. It works great BUT I use DVI on my Radeon 9200 through my mediator and DVI through the Indi as well. Rattes comes with a cable that goes from the indo to the switcher and from the switcher to the output on my Radeon. I do have VGA on the Radeon so I decided to wire everything up and see how it looks through the VGA output on the Radeon.
Issue came up. Screen doest display correctly. Its to far down and its wide. I have a feeling this is due to me setting everything up through DVI and not VGA.
Has anyone tried one of these using a DVI to VGA adaptor? I went and pulled it all out to return my amiga back to using two monitor inputs and the built in monitor selector, but the switch was nice. If my screen modes work the same passed through the radeon to the Rattes I'd go back to it. I dont want to mess with P96 Mode to fix the monitor adjustments again. I hate that crap!

Sorry if this is a bit ot, but where can i actually find a Ratte's to buy?
I notice it's on sale on AmiBAY some times, but it's always sold out :-P

@Shamron:
contact highpuff or gseb on amibay
normally this two members are doing some sort of massproduction ...
@Acill:
the Switch is designed to work with 5 Signals
v-sync, h-sync, r(ed), g(reen), b(lue)
they are analog
the mk2-adapter (for the indi-mk2) is just taking the analog Signals from the indivision (plus some sort of electronic-protection)

optimized p96 settings for all supported p96-gfx-cards

@Ratte:
Thanks, will do. :-)

Ratte, you are amazing! Can't wait to get home to test this tonight now.
EDIT:
I just switched over to this settings file for P96 and its very nice! Lots of screen modes in every resolution you would ever need. I'm still directly connected to the DVI on my Indivision AGA and the DVI on my Radeon PCI card, but will test it out using the VGA out directly on the radeon to make sure it stays full screen and centered out of the Radeon before making another attempt at the switch. Lets hope it works this time and displays properly! That switch is amazing.

zipped lha archive with p96 vesa settings
backup your "devs : picasso96settings" file and replace it with the file from the archiv.
some detailed informations can be taken from this english "how-to"

Hi Ratte
Thank you verry much for your work ! I'm currently owning you switch in my 1200 with bvision and indy MKI, and it's work well. But now, I'm trying to use it with my A600 with vampire and Indy ECS. The problem is, that the switch is only analog, and the vampire output video on a HDMI plug. So, here comme my question : is there a possibility that you consider making an DVI version of your switch ? It could be verry helpfull for the future A1200 vampire. With a DVI switch, we can then have a Indi MK2 and a vampire 1200 automaticaly switched, all digital !
Thank you for reading.

Why should I do that?
If you follow the development, you will notice, that the vampire target is a standalone system.
(MiniMig replacement with AGA + 060 power)
It is currently a lite version from the natami!!!
And after a while they add AGAplus ... and there will be standalone System without amigahardware.
No need for a switch ... you can smash your classic in the dumpster.
Other People should call it copy of FPGA Arcade Amiga AGA ... compare it.

(AGA with 64MB chipmem .. and working!!)
btw. i allready have the required chipset for dvi ... but i have no time.
on the other side, try Marios solution

Hi Ratte, thank you for your reply.
You shoud do that, because the standalone version is far away, and we don't know when it will be done. the vampire 600 is real and can benefit of an dvi switch. The 1200 is planned in a few month, and can benefit of an dvi switch too. There is no other way to auto switch between the ECS/AGA automaticaly :-(
I have tried the solution of Milfos with the HDMI on VGA converter, but the qualitiy is not so good. The max resolution il limited to 800x600 too, a biger resolution give no image on the converter. That's why I'm asking :-)
I have an FPGA Arcade too, but the speed is without comparaison.
You say that you have the chips for a dvi version, but no time (pretty understandable, no problem). Is there a possibility that you are making a dvi version later anyway ?
Thank you and have a nice day.

I'd help you assemble and sell them in the US if you wanted some help with it.
