Here's a little video:

A500 Vampire in A1000. Impressive. I am considering going this route in my A1000. If I did, I'd want TCP/IP / Ethernet. What are the options here, if any?
It would be a novel setup, but would run OS 3.9 quite well, I think, as no CHIP RAM is needed using the Vampire's RTG.
Thanks.

I thought the Vampire had Ethernet? Or USB? Or maybe I'm thinking of a different accelerator project. Otherwise, one of those newish parallel port plipboxes should do the trick, although it'll be a bit slow and I think you'll need a gender changer on an A1000.

Only way I know is the plipbox thing for the par port or get one of the A500/1000 ZII connector things made and use an Amiga ZII network card.
Like one of these:

Does pilpbox run on a proper Ethernet TCP/IP stack?

Yes, Plipbox is the way to go for you. It runs great with A1000. If it comes to TCP/IP stack then I recommend RoadShow. It's fast and lightweight. With V500 you should get around 100 - 120 KB/s over LAN/FTP.
Just one thing to remember A1000 has got a bit different parallel port than all the other Amigas.

Its just reversed is all. You will need a gender changer for it. Easily found on ebay or Amazon.

Wow, too cool Blake.
But how did they get that in there?
The A1000 has a DIP processor doesn't it?

Back when the A1000 first came out I got one. The 68000 in it is the same more or less than the A500 and A2000 version, just a better package and ceramic, at least mine was.
