I know someone was doing them in Europe not long ago. I would like to see about getting mine upgraded with the faster PPC and 060 overclocked to make it run better with OS4.1FE.
Whats involved in this and the cost of doing it? Getting an old Mac for the PPC shouldnt be an issue. I think my 060 can go to 75mhz now with cooling.

Stachu is the guy, he's from Poland. Don't know if he's still doing it though. Try to contact him on Amibay and ask for a budget.

Thanks, found him in another location and sent an email.

how much will that cost?

Its a lot, but worth it to me. Quote was just over 475

420 MHz? As far as I know the fastest ever 604e is 375 MHz native clock that can be overclocked to 400. Then 420 would be the something over my expectation.
I have also CSPPC upgraded by Stachu, but I mine has 604e with 350 MHz native clocke and underclocked to 333 MHz because I wanted to keep my 060 rev6 by 50 MHz. I have to say both CPUs are much cooler comparing to 060 rev1 and previous 604e/200.
Anyway please share with us your Syspeed module then ;o)

Ooooh 400 MHz native chip and 611 MIPS! Stan how many Cyberstorms have you upgraded with this 400 MHz chip already?

475... USD?
That's chump change compared to a lot of Amiga hardware. Think I paid $800 for my A2000 '060 board, and still consider that a bargain. :)

About 10.

Big mistake : my MK3 at 72 Mhz is certainly 2 time faster than before at 50 Mhz...
