Title: A1200 Keyboards
Post by: RWAP on April 10, 2016, 10:56:15 AM
When I last investigated the keyboard membrane position, we arranged for new ones to be made for the A500 and A600 machines.  It was decided that it was not worth getting any made for the A1200 as AmigaKit still had new old stock keyboards for less than it would cost to make a membrane.

Have AmigaKit now run out of stock?

If so, how much interest would there be in getting membranes for the A1200?

I also need confirmation as to how many different A1200 keyboard membrane types there are (and are there different ones for Australia for example) - I believe they all use the same membrane, but who knows!  Maybe people could list the part number they have by way of comparison.

Petro still has some NOS A1200 keyboards for sale (UK or German layout). The guys that did the first A1200 case kickstarter plan to do one for keyboards eventually.

New membaranes would be nice. There is multiple reasons to get new keyboard, broken membrane is just one of them.

So if you could, would you please.

Not sure what quantities he actually has and if he would split parts bundles

Thanks Ian - I have found Petro on Facebook and reached out to him.

I have also reached out to the A1200.net guys who have the kickstarter for new key caps and cases to see if they had considered membranes.
