A little bump....
Fellow Amigans I want to buy a Mechware PCD-60B scsi card readers for my Amiga 3000. Now that I've replaced the two internal HDDs with a sleek SCSI2SD micro SD adapter, I have the space in the second FDD to accommodate the SCSI card reader there. Please drop me a message if you want a spare one, or you are willing to let go one. Thank you.

If you find one of those, you can ditch the SCSI2SD. ;)
I have two, but wouldn't part with them for love nor money. They come up periodically on ebay, in the range of about 3x what Mechy was selling them for back a few years ago. Da** scalpers... :(
Good luck with your search!

Didn't Mechy sell at least three different versions of scsi card readers?
-
I still have mine still intact in its packaging waiting for the time I rebuild one of my DraCos. Unfortunately, life always seems to get in the way.
You can shoot me to get it, but I wont let it go :)
-
So all I'm going to get is teasers?
Is anyone holding on to 2 who could let one go?

I think I came with a better solution: I bought a X-SURF 100 and Rapid Road USB card, total price half of the price of the SCSI and I will have Internet too.

I have both of those, as well. Also an excellent choice! But you can't boot off them, so it's kind of a different product. ;)
I'm almost tempted to get that $250 card reader, just to have one as a spare. Almost. :p

DO IT!!!!! Mikey!
Hey..... Oscar..... I traded an A3000T for mine and it's hidden inside an A590! That's HARD CORE Bud!
Soon to go into my A2K though... A Mechy card reader is the bomb! I gotta wonder how much he made off those... Oh wait, I remember... he didn't make jack!
Seriously.... take Mike's advice and.... grab it @ $250!
Or Mikey will snag it!

Yes, and you get a non booting half working USB solution on an A3640.
I hope you get lucky and not encounter the infamous bug!

OMG! There's no luck involved!:roflmao: The bug strikes all in the intergalactic world of JEN'S!
Choose your hardware wisely my young Jedi! Amiga frustration will be your enemy and yet give you satisfaction beyond your wildest dreams! Alas, it is all fun!

"Amiga frustration" I love it!!! All of us in the hobby feel it to some degree on a daily basis. Maybe it's what keeps us going? A Shrink would have a field day with us. lol

That's not a problem since I booting from a SCSI2SD micro SD adapter with a 16 GB card in place.
I'm planning to add a second SCSI2SD device to replace the HDD in the external unit hosting the CD ROM. I bought an extra one just in case, for which I paid $50 including shipping.
I'm not sure if using a SD card bigger than 16GB is possible with the SCSI2SD device due to formatting issues in Amiga, or so I've been told.
Putting a second 16 GB in that second external SCSI device will give me yet more storage capacity and smooth operation.
Or am I wrong?
NEW addition to Original post: After I successfully installed a SCSI2SD micro SD adapter, I am now looking for a new project which would allow me to hot swap cf and/or SD cards. I came across this device from a Japanese manufacturer, so I wanted to hear from you guys if this would be of any use in our systems https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B85CjT4S3Ff7RnF3SDZlQUozWlU?
It is a CF PowerMonster II CF-2.5" SCSI Converter Card
