I wanted to get any thoughts on people using the SCSI2SD on Amiga 200 machines with a SCSI2SD adapter. I bought one and configured using WinUAE...plain vanilla 3.1 install
the SCSI2SD boots off the micros card just fine with a 2091 card but when using the SCSI controller from the GVP card I just get the insert floppy screen. GVP has version 4.15 rims and works just fine with a regular HDD.
Any thoughts....my next step will be to try to boot of a floppy (need to clean my drive) and see if its even recognized by the HDutils
thanks

I am pretty sure there are newer ROM's around but don't know if that's the fix. I would like to know since I would put 1 in mine as well!

4.15 is the latest ROM, short of paying through the nose for one of the GuruROM's. I'd go back and check your termination settings, I've used other kinds of card readers with GVP controllers, and they all worked fine, after a little fiddling. ;)

Which brings the question, is the SCSI2SD in the first connector on the cable and DH0?

Yes, first connector. I did try removing the resistors on the scsi2sd and same thing

Yeh, your HD should have been terminated already. Hmm.....

Solved... Needed to connect the power to the scsi2sd card. Apparently the GVP does not provide enough power? Works with power from the scsi directly on the 2091( as well as all of the macs I have used on) so no need to connect power cable in those
