It looks like the A1200 is the computer that gets a lot of attention. When I go to a web site it seems to be the one that gets posted as a picture.
What do you think?
-
It's very photogenic. Alongside the A500 and A3000. The others, not so much, IMHO. ;)
-
Do you think that the A500 would be next or maybe the 600?

IMO A600 looks best :P

A600 looks Runty to me, I could never warm up to it.

I love wedge Amigas and even had little overdose on these --->

but since I got A4k (040) I think that thing got some authority other Amigas may not have! :) She look real fine I think and could eat few A600s for lunch.. ;)

Did they ever make a keypad for the 600?
-
A4000T for me. I just wish the Commodore version had been released in number as that case was awesome even though the Escom one is still sexy.
-
The 4000T has that commanding look.

And like the A2000 its too f'ing big.
But at least it doesn't take up desktop real estate.

Nah, but the Bomac Tower (http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/bboah/product.aspx?id=1974) might just be crossing a line.

I love the way my A4000T looks. Its by far the sexiest of the Amiga's I have owned, and I have had at least one of every model.

Yepp the A4000T looks amazing! I have a special love for wedge cases but the A4000T is so nice!

When you add FPGA cards any amiga will just be the keyboard and perhaps some interfaces, the rest will run on the cards. So it is a matter of taste and preferences what model you want to use. In this sense A600 is no different than A1200.
-
The A2000 is not necessarily pretty, it is a work horse. The A600 would look good if it had an optional keypad setting on the right.
1. A1200 best looking wedge or maybe the A600.
2. A3000 best looking desktop or the A1000.
3. A4000T the best looking tower.

1280×400i, is one of the resolutions that is stated on Wikipedia.

How does one make good use of such a resolution?
Would one use a monitor of the same aspect ratio?

Super hires laced. AFAIR it was good for video titling (less jagged edges on screen fonts), and a few productivity apps. Also looks pretty slick the time or two I tried it on a modern, widescreen monitor (something that didn't exist in 1990, LOL). Otherwise things look tall and skinny on a 4:3 screen. ;)

You can use 1024x768 in up to 256 colours or HAM8 - but it is interlaced at that, so a flicker fixer / Indivision comes in handy there. See below link:
