Title: A1200t pcmcia
Post by: jimmyboy on February 03, 2016, 12:14:12 AM
Im interested in getting my A1200T on wifi.
Been looking around for solutions.

1. The PCMCIA angle adapter

2. A wireless ethernet bridge

3. PCMCIA extender cable bolted onto a pci back plate so i can access it easier.

Im aware of cable length has limitations but there is somewhere which makes a 68 pin to 68 pin version. Has anyone tried them? Would it be suitable?

I have not seen anyone covering these in my google searches.

It's possible here are the options.
1. Yes, you'll need the angle adapter and a PCMCIA WIFI CARD.
a) Orinoco Gold - they only support WEP and WPA/TKIP
b) Prism based cards. However, they require a frimware update.

2. TP-Link TL-WR 702 router in the client mode - it shoud work as well.
3. There are PCMCIA cards which allow to do it.

@jimmyboy
I don't have any experience with PCMCIA extender cables.
If you're interested in such a PCMCIA Prism2 card then let me know.
I have one for sale - it's been flashed, upgraded with a WPA2/AES firmware.

@vince_6
It's not mine. I used to have one of my Amigas in an Elbox Power Tower. Right now, only desktop machines.
