Hello all,
I purchased a Blizzard 1260. Ideally I want to keep using my current ClassicWB setup. But I'm a total newby regarding the 1260. So I hope you guys can help me a bit.
I have an A1200 (with timing fixes), blizzard 1230mkIV running ClassicWB AOS 3.9.
The 1260 states I need to install all libs etc before installing the 1260. Should I remove the 1230 first, then do the software installation and then insert the 1260, or can I still install with the 1230 present?
Will the ClassicWB 3.9 setup still work with the 1260 maprom function enabled (open jumper)? Or does the BB2 (if I'm not mistaken) 3.9 rom interferes with that?
Are the libraries listed here http://xoomer.virgilio.it/dario.manzoni2/1260.html still the latest ones?
Should I also install CPU060 in c?
Should I also install other libs (math or others?)
What's with the cyberpatcher? Use it, then where to get it? It simply goes into wbstartup? Or do I have to patch files with it? There's an alternative, forgot the name, use that instead?
Are any startup sequence changes required?
Is there something I need to remove related to the 1230? (files, startupsequence)
I believe some changes in the WHDLoad settings are required, or at least to be undone regarding the mmu? Other WHDLoad things to change?
Thanks a lot for helping me out!

Well it's been a while since I had a hardware Amiga but to get you started, download and install the Phase5 68060 library and 68040 dummy library - they won't interfere with your '030 so you can get those into libs: first. http://aminet.net/package/driver/other/68060-19101999 (the 'dummy' library needs to be renamed to 68040.library).
Not sure about the maprom so personally I'd disable it whilst you get your system up and running.
Cyberpatcher (and Oxypatcher) trap the missing FPU instructions in the '060 and replace them with their own code - you don't need to install these immediately, not having them just means your 060 will be slower handling some FPU stuff. A better option is MuRedox http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/MuRedox but you'll probably want to install Thor's 68060 libs with that.

Have a look at this post and thread. This will make your 1260 run very well!

I'm prety sure that BB2 rom update woun't work. I doesn't work with my Computers Apollo 040/Blizzard 060.
Copy those libraries from aminet to sys:libs, rename 68040dummy.library to 68040.library.
Without those libraries setpatch command will crash you system everytime you start your amiga. How ever you can still boot without startup-sequence and do everything from shell/cli
FBlit/FText are good to install, but you do need to read manual. or this http://www.gregdonner.org/os39faq/compatibility.html#9
Cyberpatcer and oxypatcher does same thing so you woun't need both of them. 68040/060 FPU has some missign functions, but they are much faster generally, problem arises if you are running games / apps that are targeted to 68881 or 68882 fpu. If program is made for 68040/060 cyber/oxypatcher does nothing

Thanks a lot guys. So far I have limited myself to the libs. Will experiment with the rest later.

Copy those libraries from aminet to sys:libs, rename 68040dummy.library to 68040.library.
No,no,no,no! Delete this dummy-thing! It is not needed anymore with Boingbags installed!
