I seem to be having a problem with my A1200 Power Supply. I am no longer
able to warm boot the machine, it just hangs. Also when something crashes,
which seem to be happening more often, the power light sometimes just blinks
and a constant reboot goes no where. Can someone please suggest what kind of
power supply I need to add to increase my E power. Is there something simple
to get for that or not to complicated...

Mechy here on the forums makes & sells upgraded PSU's for A500/600/1200. I have one, works great. You might reach out to him (if he doesn't see this thread) and ask if he has any currently. :)

You can also get a decent power supply and wire the A1200's cable yourself. It's not that hard - you have ground, +12 volts, +5 volts and -12 volts. Short the green wire to ground on the power supply end and use the power switch on the power supply.
For instance, an 80 Plus rated SeaSonic 300 watt power supply costs less than $35 USD from Newegg. Although 300 watts is tremendous overkill, it's not easy to find less capable supplies these days, and with many larger power supplies, an Amiga 1200 won't draw enough power to even keep the supply running.

What makes you so sure it's a fault with the PSU? I'm not saying it's not, but just curious how you came to that conclusion.
If it cold boots perfectly then surely it's a software issue such as problem with resident modules or something, or even a virus.

I once wired up a cheap (but working) PC PSU to the Amiga. The result? Constant crashes.
When connecting the 5V rail up to a scope, the amount of ripple / noise was crazy.
I'm not sure if it's because of the cheap PSU (which seemed to lack any filtering components) or poor regulation due to the Amiga drawing such little current. I think some PSUs require a reasonable load on the 12V (?) rail in order to regulate the other rails properly.
Just saying this, as it's not always as easy as one may think.
I simply tossed the PC PSU, replaced the failing components in my lightweight A1200 PSU (filter caps failed, also replaced electrolytics) and my A1200 with 50MHz 030, Indivision, RAM and CF IDE has been stable ever since.

I assume you are using an A500 brick. The only thing that will drive my expanded 1200s. One Christmas back in 1995 I tried to add a 3.5" hard to my beloved 1200. That was when, quite by chance I plugged in the A500 brick by accident and it worked like a charm. Same happened when I tried to use an Apollo 060 and a Blizzard with an external CD attached to the machine.
You will know when you have a brick, they would stop a truck if you placed it in the middle of the road.
I have never had much joy with other power supplies like the Goliath.
Not sure that is power by the way. Have you tried running the computer without the hard drive for a while ?
