Adelaide Amiga & Retro Computing Event 2016

Entry Amount: $3 per person, to cover room-hire and other expenses.
Details:
We are kicking the start of 2016 off with a new initiative: an Amiga and Retro Computing event.
Two presentations will take place during the evening.
Introducing AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition - Epsilon.
Epsilon will present this topic, discussing the features and functionality of this new operating system including where to obtain hardware, forum web-resources and software.
MITS Altair 8800 + Original Microsoft BASIC Demonstration
Theo Karagiris, a software developer based in South Australia, is one of the few owners of an original 1974 Altair 8800 system. He will bring this rare system along to the event to demonstrate its operation. This will will include a demo of the original Microsoft BASIC: first software program ever written by Microsoft.
Procedure:
Attendees are encouraged to their Amiga (or other relevant) systems along to create a 'show-and-tell' atmosphere.
While there are ample power-points available in the room, you may wish to bring any power-boards or equipment to make sure that your systems are appropriately connected.
Internet access is available via Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Please note: If you are planning on attending with equipment, please arrive at 7pm (if possible) to set-up before the official start of this event.
*Coffee/tea and other refreshments are provided on the night

I'm still planning the September itinerary -- leave San Francisco, stop to see Trevor Dickinson in New Zealand, and then fly to Australia. Also with me on the trip will be an extra-special Amiga engineer.

I'll be there too. I hope I can get my FPGA Arcade Replay up & running by then - I'm pretty certain I won't get it into it's case by then, though.

A reminder to all that the next Adelaide Amiga meeting is now less than one week away! The event is on January 25th and starts at 7:30pm (people setting up computers should arrive from 7pm).
The theme of the event is Amiga and Retro machines, with a presentation by me on an Introduction to AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition, and also a presentation showing a rare Altair 8800 system. Please feel free to bring along your favourite retro hardware along, or just come to check out what is on display and chat to fellow Retro computer fans!

Final Reminder - Tonight is the Adelaide Amiga Meeting, with a Amiga and Retro Computing theme this time round. Things kick off at 7:30pm (7pm for people bringing and setting up equipment).
There is a small $3 admission fee per person to cover the cost of room hire, etc.
