Title: AmigaOS3.9 and Winuae
Post by: apsturk on December 30, 2015, 03:23:55 AM
I can not seem to install it. I am using winuae. I have installed a CF drive set up on a Amiga 1200. I can not just install it. It will not let me. I have made a emergency boot disk as it asked me too. However I can not boot from it. It starts to say that in can not find Ram: T. Then it says
Volume
AmigaOS3.9
is wright protected.

It gives me a Retry and a Cancel option. Thats all folks. Retry repeats the message and cancel give me a blank workbench seen bar. I have been pulling my hair out. I will not boot off of the emergency boot disk.adf  ever.  Help !!

Thanks

Hmmm, I think that the emergency disk always expects to be able to read the OS3.9 CD. The ERD will never boot without it. Make sure an image of the CD is available. :) Oh, and the CD must be genuine - no net downloads.

What is ERD.

It can read the cd and yes it is the real deal. Also the error message read
Volume
AmigaOS3.9
is wright protected.

not read protected.

ERD - Emergency Repair Disk. Well my friend... that's about all I could think of. Thomas has an excellent page.... Installation Guide for OS3.9 on WinUAE (with CD-ROM support) here.... maybe will help. :)
