Seen these on eBay?
Link to Furia A600 accelerators (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171988167094)

Lotharek finally released that?
Too cool.
It was listed as unavailable just yesterday.
Anyone who is not familiar with this guy, he builds some neat hardware.
I have used his VBXE video upgrade for the Atari 130XE combined with the Liber809 6809 conversion board from Cloud 9 in order to run a multi-tasking OS on an130XE with higher res graphics, sprites and a blitter.
Jay Miner would be proud of what we are still getting out of his hardware.
This should be cool.
"9.5 megs of fast memory"

Vampire600 V2 seems like a much better deal to me, feature-wise, and its even a bit cheaper.

But Vampire uses FPGA, and Lotharek board uses a real 68EC020 processor + FPU, so it might have a higher level of compatibility?
Or maybe some people would rather just have a "real" processor. ;)
Also - does Vampire do '020+882 instructions? Isn't it just - basically - a very fast 68000?
On a side-note, I'm a little disappointed that the first we're hearing about this board is through an ebay auction. I vaguely recognize the guy's name but other than that had no idea he was this close to producing a working, for-sale, accelerator that you can buy today. Shouldn't something like that be a news item on this site? :(
-
Vampire600 V2 will use the Apollo core, which is supposed to be 68060 compatible.
I dont know about 020/882 for sure, but I remember reading its 020 compatible.
As for the Fúria accelerator, its been discussed on EAB since 2012.

That helps Amiga.org exactly, how? :p

The 68EC020 is the real thing which defines the standard which compatibility is based on.

The Apollo is mostly 68020 and 68000 compatible. Compatibility with the 68000 is much easier than the 68020. The new Vampire board has enough room for at least a partial FPU (similar to the 68060 implementation). I don't know if the current FPU implementation is as complete as the 68060 or is even extended precision like the original. I haven't seen FPU specific software running on the new Vampire so there are probably bugs.

Will the Vampire accelerator have extra fast memory?
And is it available now?
In Fúria's case, the answer to both is yes.

Will the Vampire accelerator have extra fast memory?
64 MB according to http://www.majsta.com/.
And is it available now?
Two more weeks or, rather, read the web site above :).

...Two more weeks...
:).
Thanks, at least we all still have our sense of humor. :)
-
Perhaps someone could post a link on the amigaworld site for the folks there. I am banned from posting for a while longer.
I wonder if Amigakit and Vesalia etc would stock this board?
-
And is it available now?
There's a pre-order thread on Amibay, it says the board will be available Q4 2015.

How much RAM will "full HD" RTG on the HDMI require?

I would expect 1920x1080 to use at least 8 MB of memory. Majsta is more concerned with keeping his accelerators for 68000 Amigas affordable. Accelerators for the 1200, 3000(T), 4000(T), CD32 etc. should receive more memory.

@1200
I've submitted it on AW as a news item (after seeing it on here)

Might be being a bit of a 'dingle dongle' but where does the hard drive sit. The ribbon just exits the side of the case, or am I missing something.
Interesting development I have to say.

I think either of these would fit just fine:

Some danged interesting developments for A600's lately. Almost makes me wish I had one. Almost. ;)

Yes they do!
Edit: BTW to everyone, I have the Vampire 600 board and can say i'm quite happy with it! Have nothing to compare to on a A600 tho since I do not have any other accelerator cards, but damn it fast for a low price. Still preffeer my A1200 any day tho.

That doom demo is very impressive. I can hardly believe that ECS is redrawing so fast at Hires Interlace.
Impressive stuff. :)

Another decent HDD option for the A600/A1200: Disk on Modules - plugs straight into the Motherboard! http://www.amiga600.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/a600_project5.jpg

I just wanted to pop in and comment on the threads original purpose, the A600 Furia accelerators by Lotharek.
I ordered one the other week and finally got around to cleaning my A600 and fitting it into it.
Installation was fairly easy, I had to fully remove the motherboard to be able to press the accelerator on until it clicked into place. I've no way of fitting a HDD in there right now so will go with either a PATA IDE DOM or a CF drive at some point.
Performance is great with the few games that I've tried so far but until I've got a HDD and the Gotek plugged in I don't have SysInfo are anything else to test with.
So far I'm really impressed though, it's very well made, quite easy to fit, and fells like a massive improvement.
The Vampire Mk2 is something I might buy in the future too but this is a good piece of kit in it's own right.

sorry for posting ot, if i did..

Don't worry wawrzon I don't think it's off-topic discussing the other options, I just wanted to post my mini-review in here since it started on that topic :)
