I believe that looks right. I have a similar PGA 68882 in my Blizzard 1230 IV.

In principle, yes. According to my information, the M1230XA takes the PGA version (i.e. a pin grid array package), and this FPU is one. However: Whether that is a genuine 50MHz 6882 FPU is another question. Many FPUs or CPUs sold from china are fakes, polished and "refurbished" with higher speed grades or more modern mask codes. IOWs, it might well be that this is actually a FPU of a lower speed grade that may or may not work at 50Mhz, or maybe even a 68881 (the earlier release, which is less powerful than the later release). According to the pictures, one of the pins of the sample FPU is bend, so whether this FPU fits into a socket without breaking the FPU in first place is another question. One could try to straighten the pin... IOWs, I would avoid "authentic fakes" from China if possible. You never know what you get.

+1. Being in the States I would buy from a USA seller rather than someone in China. Besides, no one likes waiting a month for their item to arrive. ;)

Much higher postage to the UK and it's an auction but this NOS FPU from Software Hut should be the genuine article.

Wait, what? Since when did good 'ole Software Hut start running an ebay store? Nice, adding him to my "favorite sellers"! Thanks! :D

I hadn't notice myself until today but I did know that Eldee Stephens took a lot of old stock off Joe to sell on his behalf some time ago.

@Rob
it's all heading back to software hut, actually, tomorrow. since i haven't had time to get things moving along, joe found someone who could, so hopefully soon all of his old inventory will be available for sale shortly. there's some good stuff in there, so i hope folks are pleased. :)

You could always drop it off at my house. I'm only a couple hundred miles south of you, or so. Just say you missed the exit on the highway. ;)

Spent many thousands of dollars at Software Hut, Joe is a good guy!

Yeah I noticed your posts saying you hadn't much time to handle it all. I guess at least some of it is catalogued now so Joe can list that stuff a bit quicker.

There're bend pins, you can see at the bottom left end right of the FPU.
Also this FPU is an "XC" version and is running hotter then the "MC" version.
