Title: A4000 Battery
Post by: Tomcat on February 24, 2004, 08:32:04 AM
Hi, I have a stock A4000 which I haven't used in several years and I was wondering what the battery size is. Also, what needs to be done to it to run the OS4?

Some info on the leaking batteries here (http://www.starnet.com.au/davem/overclock/batt.html)

You can get a replacement from Anachronism Industries (http://www.anachronismindustries.com/) for $8.00

The AmigaOS4 is PPC native, so you'll need a PPC card for the Amiga : the CyberStorm PPC (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/cyberstormPPC604e.html), or the AmigaOne (http://os.amiga.com/products/one/) motherboard.

The correct replacement battery is a Varta V80H 3.6V 70mAh battery.
For more information see http://amiga.serveftp.net under the battery replacement section.

To run OS4, you'll need a Cyberstorm PPC board.
