What programs to Amigans use for listening to MP3 and Podcasts, is there a plugin to listen right in iBrowse?
Thanks

I use AMPlifier (http://www.vesalia.de/e_os39.htm) straight out of 3.9 to play .mp3's through my AD516 sound card. Works fine for me and very nice sound quality. I'm sure it could also play through Paula but I haven't tried. ;)
There's also AmigaAMP (http://www.amigaamp.de/), which I understand is a bit newer and has extra plugins and skins, but for me it seemed a little more "stuttery", like it needed a faster processor than my '040. Maybe I just didn't mess around with the settings very much.
If you have a lower-spec system check out the MAS-Player (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1078).
Or if you don't hold your breath waiting around for it, the Prisma Megamix (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=66147) (announced two years ago, still not available) might be released sometime this century. ;)
There's a few other soundcards and accessories available for playing .mp3's, check the BBOAH or amiga.resource.cx website.

Well i remember there being a datatype for MP3's. Still it'll be quite choppy unless you have something like a powerful CPU, a sound card or a MAS player to handle the decoding.

You'll want to change the MIME Types settings in IBrowse. For instance, my Preferences/Settings/General/MIME Types looks like this:
MIME Type: audio / x-mpegurl
Extension: m3u pls
Action: External viewer
Viewer: Programs:Creativity/Audio/Players/TuneNet/TuneNet
Arguments: -browser -p5 -playlist %f >NIL:
