Can someone please explain how to change the Workbench image viewer. Multiview just doesn't cut it when you have to deal with a 32 color workbench.
Thank you

Multiview is great if you update your datatypes to processor-optimized ones. Set it to run on its own screen rather than Workbench. ;)

Good info. The data types can be found at: http://aminet.net/search?query=data+types

I recommend the "WarpDT" datatypes. they can be found on Aminet or here: http://www.warpdt.co.uk/ You can register them if you'd like to support continued development.
Plenty of other picture viewers are available, it should be mentioned, but a lot of them are pretty old and no longer supported. IMHO Multiview is just fine once properly configured. ;)
At some point there should also be a release of "MultiviewerNG (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=69321)" for classic systems, as well.

I'm also a fan of the WarpDT suite. PicShow (http://thomas-rapp.homepage.t-online.de/amiga/picshow.html) is another good viewer.

Check out answer #6 in this recent interview (http://distrita.com/a-eon-interview-about-amigas-future/) that mentions the new multiviewer

Okay, this is all really good information and thanks a lot. Changing Datatypes
and updating Multiview seems to make sense. But my question was is there a
way to change Workbench so when I click on a an image it opens a different pic
viewer?
Thanks

is there away to change Workbench so when I click on a an image it opens a different pic viewer?
Just change the default tool in the icon, or if you are using def_icons you can change just the one, and it will change it for all of them:

you might try this program and see if you like it better than MultiView.

once you find a suitable replacement viewer, you might just rename it as multiview (in case you dont have def_icon installed)
