This is borderline insulting:

-
To paraphrase: "We want a chunk of the $20 billion mobile games market, by hook or by crook!"
They come off sounding like tw@ts.
-
Not to mention the "who owns a Commodore machine nowadays anyway".
To me that's proof they don't know anything about retro games.
-
that's the saddest excuse for a kickstarter I've seen so far and I've seen quite a few:rant:
-
Odd, I've been able to do this for a while...
I see through the mist, a form, no it is a sign... and it says, "Losers!"
-
Nice Boing ball graphic. They didn't do it themselves, they just snagged it off Aminet. I bet the artist wouldn't wanted it used in this way.
-
This can already be done via emulation so unless people are very foolish this campaign will sink beneath impending shark infested waves.
-
This will fail HARD, so who the hell cares?

Some interesting reading about the company: http://quote.morningstar.com/stock-filing/Quarterly-Report/2014/12/31/t.aspx?t=:WRIT&ft=10-Q&d=64ddb6eca05c060a0f69ca0ba75174e9

Eh, they have a goal to reach $100,000 to achieve something that has already be done; then I suspect they will charge for their product, when they copy something that it is already (in essence) free. What could go wrong with that?
-
Addendum: It does provide for some fresh fodder for the forums to revive that good old Amiga Sarcasm we (I) all know and love!
-
To be honest these items shouldn't be linked to. You're are just providing more google results and hits to their kickstarter.
Just leave it alone and let it fail.
-
I just don't really understand some of the members insistance that some things should not be mentioned because of, I don't know, evil?
How are we going to be able to learn anything new and reach valid conclusions about difficult topics regarding Amiga if all we can talk about are A600 RAM expansion cards?

Retroinfinity is part of WRIT Media group along with Amiga Games Inc.
(created by owner of Amiga Inc.) and Front Row Networks. They don't
want to make anything , they were not making anything for more than
a year now and trading stocks while promising great things.

This gives more info on the company ...

Looks like "Infinium Labs" again!

@thread
According to Investor's hub poster, the Kickstarter for RetroInfinity is over.
Total pledged under $500 of $100,000 USD goal (http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=117530070)

It only got that high because someone did at $250 tier. Otherwise it would have remained below $200. I wonder if it was a large enough "pump and dump" to make up for the cost of that insulting video.
-
I think if their spokes person would have understood half of what she was reading off that script, she wouldn't have believed it either.
Hundreds of licensed titles just waiting to be released for a player we haven't made yet.....call me skeptical. oh wait, I'm Plaz. But still skeptical.

This is the first I'm seeing this. What a joke. I think I'm more embarrassed for them than insulted by them - they clearly have no idea what they're doing.
-
Won't even look! Won't even think about it again....
-
I'm guessing the 10 people that backed them were the same 10 people it took to create the kickstarter, right?

Besides from the video style that is funny up to silly...
a emulator starter for 100.000$? Quiet expensive
-
I don't know...at least give them the credit for trying...
Lots of negativity... :D
