Here's an idea for a game. A cross between pinball and breakout. You have pinball tables but instead of flippers it uses breakout style bats.
What do you think?

That be cool to have, but I also like to see "Visual Pinball" ported to the Amiga computers including PPC.
Easy to build any pinball table and play back in real time 3D. And utilize PinMAME *hint* *hint* :-)

What about multiplayer pinball breakout?
btw I think you got an excellent idea.

Well, if the screen scrolls (like in Pinball Illusions and such) it might become difficult to keep track of your moving "flippers" when they are out of sight. Think about when the ball comes flying domwn (and the screen follows it) at very high speeds ...! But that is perhaps one of the challanges with the game? And I guess you could always mark the position of your off-screen flippers with a semi-transparent arrow or something ...
A cool idea! :-)

I ought to state that I'm not actually going to make the game unless I learn how to program and there's very little chance of that. Still I'm sure someone out there could make it.

Hoya!
If I remember correctly, this has already be done but I cannot recall the name of the game...

That sounds really cool! 8-)

This sounds a lot like "Devilish" on the
Sega Genesis/MegaDrive console. See a
screenshot here:

It's actually a pretty fun concept overall. :)

Sorry for the slight lack of relevance (well, its never stoppped me before) but someone should port Diablo II to the Amiga!

Cyberus

OT:

The company that made it is really stingy with their source code and I think they do their own MacOs ports so there wouldn't be much profit in it. :-(
