Hello,
I am looking for a working, internal floppy drive for my Amiga 3000.
Thanks!

SACC might have an extra 2000 drive, You would have to change the button.

That would be great, perhaps we can talk more about it at the upcoming club meeting. :)

@dschallock
Believe me, talking is NO problem at SACC. FYI, club members, we have a "small" stock of Amiga stuff for a small cost.
I let Daniel (SACC's keeper of spare parts) know.
BTW, AmigaKit has brand new floppy drives if that's what you want.

The A500 Floppy drive is the exact drive for an A3000, of course with a different button. There are 3D printer plans for the A3000 button on the web, if you need one

Sounds good, I look forward to talking with you all then.

@danbeaver thats a good idea too but Amigakit does not sell an A500 internal floppy drive replacement. They have an A600 and A1200 internal floppy drives for sale but nothing for the the A500 or A3000.
I have 2 older drive units that just don't work anymore. I suppose I could try to learn how to fix them. That is perhaps an option too.

Actually, the amigakit drives are great and compatible, just one inch high instead of 1 1/4.
Installing them just leaves a small gap. (allows more flow?)grin
Fixing is a big option. Dan also tries to clean up old drives and has given us a master class on how to.
but sometimes old floppy drive just give the ghost.
