Title: Amigakit Sold Amiga Magic, how about QuickPak?
Post by: fondpondforever on August 10, 2015, 11:19:02 PM
Amigakit Sold The 1200 Magic Bundle a few years ago, how about treating us with the 4000T QuickPak? If this was a possibility, would the models be New Old Stock? Thanks.

Software Hut had some up until around 2010 but I think they were all sold by the time Joe closed the shop.  It seems Eldee Stephens took the remaining stock to sell on behalf of Joe and he reports that no A4000T boards were amongst the stock.

If you want a new AGA motherboard Jens Schoenfeld's Amiga reoloaded should be available next year.

Someone needs to make a new batch of A4000T's.

Too complicated.
Jens' solution makes more sense.
An A1200 form factor board without the extra complications of the $000's motherboard is easier.

Which company released the QuickPak? Did Amiga Technologies do a bundle for the Amiga 4000T or was it just released as a Computer without the fancy packaging? Cheers

Wow, I didn't even realize that had a sliding door like that.

Kinda funny that I picked a pc tower for my custom 4000T that has a door just like that .. the tower is just a bit shorter and is black instead of beige, the vent holes in the lower end are the same and so seems to be the push button on the top :)

What use would a video slot be besides a handful of legacy boards like the Toaster?  C'mon folks, it's all about the money.  :p  lol

the company was QUIKPAK(not Quickpak) that made them. they use standard amiga technologies a4000t motherboards and such.

this might shed some light on it:

Flicker fixer would be redundant since Reloaded already includes connections for Indivision hardware.  PIV wouldn't work because it also needs a ZIII slot.  ;)

@mechy
the story as I remember while all that stuff in the articule was pending.
Quikpak started building commodore 4000t from motherboards (and other parts)that were left over commodore stock in the us and the Philipines, later, they got their version of the 060 processor made and sold that too.
I seem to remember something about the escom close and that Quikpak kept the 4000T stock as payment???
