Bah. The A1000 has a well-engineered, auto-config Zorro bus hanging off the side. Memory was meant to be added there, not riding on the back of the CPU, etc. From an engineering perspective, the Spirit board is a nightmare.

Yes but some of us don't care for the massive block attached to the computer..like my Starboard. From an engineering standpoint its impressive all that I have here will fit under the hood..keeping a very clean look.

What's the reserve on this?

I like a machine to look "expanded." Makes it feel more of a system to me. I love having my Starboard w/ 2MB and SCSI on the side.
Now, it can be taken to an unsightly extreme, I do confess...

That Ti/99 is AWESOME ;) I had a MBX expansion with mine years ago that had a really fun voice-controlled version of Baseball.
And you HAVE to have the speech synthesizer to hear the voice in Parsec, right? It just wasn't the same without it.
The Ti was my first computer. Ahhh the memories; programming in BASIC, using a cassette tape to play "Adventure" and getting my game on with Jungle Hunt and Moon Patrol. .

BTW, Goodies are sold ;)
