I grabbed another really rough A1000 a while back, and got around to cracking this one to check for goodies. It didn't boot but when I checked under the hood I found this mounted loosely with disconnected wires:

Spirit Inboard 1000 w/1.5MB RAM. The real find is whats sitting on top: CMI Accelerator (7/14MHz switchable) with 6881 FPU and crystal oscillator. I have never seen one of these in the flesh, so to speak.
Also a good grab from inside a box that came with it:

Pretty good haul. I just got into collecting again. The other crazily-wired A1000 from my other post also came with a Microbiotics Starboard RAM Sidecar (did they make a 3.5MB version?)

awesome find:hammer:
please let us know if you get that CMI card going properly

Very nice find. There are even no pictures of the CMI PA-1000 accelerator on any Amiga hardware database.

I had this RAM board but I sold it when I got kippers 8MB RAM board.
I may have the instructions how to wire this thing in A1000.
There is, if my memory serves well, on this forum, thread about this RAM board I made some time ago.

Send some pictures of the board to amiga resource and bboah.

Dude, you're making me jealous! I've got a spirit IN1000 manual around here somewhere if you need a scan.
Oh, duh I see they've got manuals at:

We will have to remedy that. I'll take a few good pics and spread the joy. ;)

Awesome stuff. I think I am going to put the accelerator and Spirit board on EBay as a set.
I already have 2 A1000's and am gonna get some cash together for a A600HD.
I'll drop a note in the marketplace when I get it on Ebay.
Thanks,
